Emerging Visions is a juried exhibition open only to students currently enrolled in a college-level curriculum. Although there is no defined theme, the intent of the exhibition is to encourage the development of leading-edge photographic art. The APG gallery in combination with the expertise of a prominent juror will provide a significant developmental resource opportunity for the student-artist.

Juror: Elizabeth F. Spungen

Liz Spungen is the Executive Director of The Print Center in Philadelphia. Liz received both a BA and MA in the History of Art from the University of Pennsylvania and has spent her entire career working with the visual arts in Philadelphia.

Liz has been on the curatorial staff at the Institute of Contemporary Art, The Fabric Workshop and Museum and Bryn Mawr College, and was President of the Chester Springs Studio. She has been on the Advisory Board at the Arcadia University Art Gallery since 1990, for many years as Chair, and since 2000 has been on the Show of Hands committee for MANNA. Before becoming interim director, Ms. Spungen was active on The Print Center's Gallery Store Committee.

In 2002, Ms. Spungen founded Liz F. Spungen Fine Art, an art dealership specializing in works on paper and photography created by artists from the greater Philadelphia region. Drawing on her knowledge of the depth of high quality art work available in the area, Liz F. Spungen Fine Art is dedicated to encouraging individual clients to include original artwork in their living and working environments.
